About

Hi. I’m Brad.

I’m fairly new to all this food blogging business. To be honest it’s all a bit of fun and I’m quite enjoying it. I moved to London in early 2009 and, after moving around a few times, have found a part of the city to call home.

Recently I’ve found myself to be eating out a lot, probably far more often than is healthy (especially on the bank balance). My wife Nuhar is my usual partner in gastronomic crime and her opinions are often shared here as well.

After a while I started to have actual opinions. I know, right? My friends and co-workers, probably bored of hearing me incessantly talk about restaurants that I’ve been to recently, told me that I should start blogging about my experiences. I decided to do just that.

We’re not rich by any means but we like to dine out quite a lot, so we try to save money and look for offers wherever possible. Many of my reviews are of places with the best Groupon, Toptable or Taste Card offers in London. This doesn’t mean that we’re willing to skimp on quality, though; just because you have a budget doesn’t mean that you can’t eat well.

You can read my somewhat opinionated, sometimes amusing, and hopefully informative reviews here.

Apologies if I don’t update frequently enough sometimes; I’m doing this for fun, so I only write a review when it feels like a fun thing to do. I’ve often said that I’m not really a “food blogger”… I’m just a guy with a WordPress installation who eats out too much and likes to write stuff from time-to-time.

Please feel free to comment if you have any questions, or contact me at brad @ the domain name of this site and I’ll be happy to get back to you.

Oh, and you can follow me on Twitter (@GastronomsUK) if you want to be notified of new reviews, retweets of some other food bloggers that I like, and the occasional food porn photo snapped on my phone.
